The five classifications of membership are:
- Active Member
Active membership may be held by one who is a member of the administrative staff and who participates in the business affairs of a clinic or medical group.
- Active/Honorary Member
An Active/Honorary membership may be conferred upon any person by the Michigan MGMA Board. Such honorary membership shall be conferred only if in the judgement of Michigan MGMA such person has rendered outstanding service to Michigan MGMA or the profession of clinic management.
- Inactive Member
Any active member in good standing who becomes disassociated from clinic administration may apply for inactive membership in Michigan MGMA and if such application is approved, may continue such inactive membership for a period of one year. At the end of one year, an inactive member may submit an application for extension of this period.
- Affiliated Member
Any vendor of products and or services who wishes to become associated with the Michigan MGMA.
- Student/Resident Member
Student/Resident membership may be held by one who is presently enrolled in an accredited college or university for the purpose of pursuing a degree of Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine or Health Care Administration. You must be a full time student as defined by the guidlines of your college or university. Residents are those physicians completing training in an approved program.
