Michigan Medical Group Management Association accomplishes many of its goals using the services of its members on various committees. Because we’d like to encourage you to participate in this all-important process, we’ve included a brief description of each standing committee, and the functions they perform; click on the name of any committee for more information, including meeting times, and the current membership.

Often, committees will divide assignments so the members do not need to make excessive time or travel commitments. In addition to our own committees, some of our members also serve on standing committees of the Michigan State Medical Society where their special skills can be put to good use.

In addition, MMGMA members may serve on the committees of the Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS). MSMS has a sophisticated and influential array of committees on many subjects of interest to MMGMA. Committees of particular interest include rural health care, Medicaid, federal and state legislation, risk management, technology, and third party payors. Click here to see the committees, and the MMGMA members that participate in each.

If you are interested in serving on an MMGMA Committee please contact Hannah Dingwell, Executive Assistant, at 517-336-7599 or [email protected]. The MMGMA president shall appoint members to a particular committee in consultation with the Executive Committee and respective committee chair.
